Donating to *other* charities was probably a last-ditch attempt at a workaround after the IRS determined they were not serving a charitable/educational etc. I think their lawyers were looking for some way to legitimize 501(c)(3) status - and that they failed. Could it be that their 501(c)(3) registration was denied or revoked by the IRS? The fuss they were making in Aug-Sept about supposedly donating to several national charities makes me think they were possibly being questioned by the IRS at that time. I do not think it is there under that name. I could not find them in the IRS databases either. Anyone else wanna try their luck with the IRS exempt-organizations-select-check tool? Interestingly enough, the mention of 501c3 has disappeared from their website and after an exhaustive search through the IRS data base for tax exempt organizations and have been unable to find 4GCommunity.
